Ryan Smith is a graduate of the Tri-State College of Acupuncture (TSCA), where he earned a Clinical Masters of Science in Acupuncture. As an intern in TSCA's high volume clinic, he treated a diverse patient population for conditions such as peripheral neuropathy, IBS, Mentrual dysfunction, allergies, pain management, sleep disorders, stress and fatigue, to name a few. It was during his clinical training that Ryan became particularly interested in treating the signs and symptoms associated with cancer treatments and HIV medications.

Ryan is trained in three styles of Acupuncture: Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM), Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Kiiko Matsumoto Style Japanese Acupuncture (KM). He uses Japanese Acupuncture at the forefront of his practice. Ryan was taught directly by Master Practitioners, including Mark Seem and Kiiko Matsumoto. Ryan's versatility in diagnostic and treatment methods gives him many viable options to choose from.

Ryan has interned with Emilie Connor, PT MS L.A.c., who is the director of the Japanese Acupuncture Department at TSCA and founder of the Thousand Hands Institute. He has received certificates in Oncology Acupuncture from memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City in Contemporary and Pulse Diagnosis in the tradition of Leon Hammer. He is a trained Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture clinician.

In addition to his practice, Ryan serves on TSCA's Clinical Teaching Staff, where he enjoys educating future acupuncturists. He is also completing a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine, Herbal Program.

Ryan is licensed in New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
